GAS TANK

I need to remove the gas tank , to fix a leak in a steel brake line , but the tank is full of gas , and you cant siphon through the filler , because there is a blockage in the filler .neck ,this is on a 97 Mazda Protege  how  do I remove the gas.

you're going to have to buy a five foot piece of fuel line disconnect the fuel line hooked up use your new hose Where you took the fuel hose off and siphon it that way

well its about 56 pounds lighter now,it should be close to empty your fuel tank is about 14 and a half gallons use a floor jack embrace it while you take out the bolts and slowly lower the floor jack to get it out even if there is 5 gallons of gas in there. it should only weigh about 45-50 pounds they should be pretty easy to handle once you get it out I'm sure you got it from there if not im here
