i have a 97 mazda mpv 4wd and the check engine light has just came on i was wondering what mite cause it, it still runs great should i beworried

How many miles do you have on it ? I had a MPV that had the check engine light come on when I hit mileage around 100,000. If that is the case it has to be reset by a mechanic. If something else other than mileage then have it checked also. Also check to see that your gas cap is tight because that would cause the light to come on. I had a 97 MPV and loved the vehicle.
