2018 Ford Mustang

Asked by Uvindu May 13, 2018 at 09:49 AM about the 2018 Ford Mustang

Question type: General

I am looking to buy a Mustang and I got a whole
bunch of questions that I can’t seem to find the
answer to.
First off the v8 or the Ecoboost
While it would be awesome to own a v8 the
Ecoboost seems to make more sense in the
situation that I am in. I could definitely buy the v8
but it would have me in a very tight budget and I
might have to ask my parents with the rest of the
stuff like insurance. I won’t be under my parents
insurance. I read a lot of how the Ecoboost is
lacking in some area such as sound, the overboost
having issues and not having the on the heels
experience that the guy has.
Second auto or manual
Enthusiasts would say v8 manual but then again the
10 speed select shift seems tempting. Note that I
love to drive a manual but for everyday riding it’s
not the best option especially in Erie where there is
a fair bit of traffic and horrible snow conditions. The
reason why the 10 speed auto seems tempting is
because of the the easy way of driving, faster times
and paddle shifts(ik not the most convincing but it
is what it is) while nothing can beat the on hands
experience of hands on driving a manual or the
coolness factor that it has.
For me the 3 options that I see are E.B premium
fully decked out with auto or GT premium fully
decked with auto or a Gt premium fully decked with
manual.
Looking forward to your answers.

I would avoid the 10 speed auto for the first few years. I suspect there will be a lot of problems.
