My Nissan sport has been stopping

Asked by Jasmin Jul 20, 2018 at 11:40 AM about the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On Tuesday evening when I was driving out of the parking
lot into the street my vehicle stopped in the middle of the
road. It would accelerate and the steering wheel locked. I
was panicking because there was traffic and a car was so
close to hitting me I was freaking out. After this incident I
called Nissan and they told me to bring it in. So I did and
they run diagnostics and they said nothing was showing
up on their computer. And I let them know that I didn’t feel
safe driving the vehicle and they told me I couldn’t get a
rental because nothing was showing up. So I’m worried to
be driving this car around because it’s mainly my daughter
and I in this car. So I want to know if this is happening to
anyone else or if there’s someone else I can talk to that
will help me because I need a complete diagnostic run
through or something because I need to know what’s
wrong with this vehicle.

Update: they told me to take the vehicle back on the following Tuesday (7/24/18) so an auto technician can check it out.

oh girl, I had the same problem with mine. brand new 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport and it turned off all the time. I kept taking it in and they would run test and such and nothing. finally it happened while the mechanic had it and we filed a LEMON LAW case. Nissan took back the car but it was a hassle. My advice would be to keep documentation of every time you take the car in to build your case
