1972 c10 stops running after 40 mins

My 1972 runs great but after about 40 mins of
running it stops. It will turn over but not start. If I
leave it for a while then it will run again. Before it
stops it lurches.

What motor you got in it?

the thermal choke coil is inoperative~ connected to the butterfly valve it's either busted or stuck~ check that~

I have a 350 crate motor from the 1990s.

would CHOKE it when it's warm~ that is your problem~
