over heating

have a 1994 mark 8 it's over heating flushed it put a new fan sencor in and a new thermaste still over heating what could it be ?

There is a plug with a 1/4 inch square ratchet drive hole in it under top plastic engine cover. It's about 1 inch in diameter with the 1/4" hole in center . It's on a tube connecting the left & right heads just in front of the alternator . DO you fill the engine here with coolant ???? If not it WILL overheat !!! Jim
