What is the load capacity of this vehicle? 1983, GMC G3500, 350 cid, 4 bbl
carb, 4 speed trans. floor shift, 4.10 : 1 rear gear, flat bed, LWB. What is its
towing capacity? It's GVW is given as just over 5000 lbs.

I would think the towing capacity would be north of 7,000 pounds. To know the load capacity subtract the actual vehicle weight from the GVW.
