Car won't start

When I turn the key nothing comes on.  NOTHING
everything is shut down.  What could be the
problem?

the condition is a called a short to ground. A wire is frayed or broken contacting the metal body of the car disabling it. You would need to check the wiring one circuit at a time or have it towed to a mechanic for further testing.
