You may get lucky if the only indication of "no oil" is that you saw nothing on the dipstick. It would be significantly low but could have still held pressure when you ran the car. IMMEDIATELY put oil in to bring the level up to normal before running the car any more and, as FOR said, hope for the best.

Is there a sensor that cut the engine off it will crank but no start it just die on me

If you ran the engine out of oil and it died there is probably a lot of damage. Do a compression test.
