MY W204 HAS DONE 5800 KM SINCE THE LAST SERVICE, AND NOW A B7
SERVICE IS DUE. CAN I SIMPLY RESET AND DRIVE IT FOR THE REST OF
SAY 15000 KM AND THEN DO THE OIL CHANGE AND SERVICE?

it sounds like the maint. reset wasn't done last time around. Check and verify what was done before you get completely off schedule. B service is oil/filter, engine air and probably cabin filter and a lot more, so find out what's been done. If you can't tell for sure, start following the manual for the service and mileage when the car tells you. If you don't have the maint. manual, get one. It will save a lot of trouble and questions later and help preserve the resale value.
