I put diesel into my petrol run jeep Cherokee
1998 now it won't start what is wrong

Well, you need to have the fuel tank removed and drained. Then have the fuel lines flushed and new fuel filters installed. Hopefully, you didn't damage the engine trying to start it with diesel fuel in the system.

Diesel is an oil so it’s thicker than gasoline so the system will have to be flushed and filters replaced to get it as much as possible out, now there will still be some in there for a few miles but it will thin out and no longer cause any problems. In severe cases I have seen diesel ruin fuel pumps, regulators and injectors and filter screens.
