Battery issue.. or not a Battery Issue?

Asked by ShadowAgent Apr 12, 2019 at 12:55 PM about the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday while on the road  my "battery" dash light came on... since I was in
the middle of nowhere I had to drive about 30mins on it to get to an O'Reilly
Auto Parts. Upon arrival they slapped this scanner thing and ran a
diagnostic...
Per the diagnostic tool The Starter was "good", the Alternator was "good",
the battery was simply "having issue"... but being short on time & I had to roll
to a project, he said I should be good for a few days... and I drove another
140 miles.
This morning I drove to an O'Reilly Auto Parts and got a new battery... and
after pulling out and driving away for about 2 mins the "battery" dash light
came on back on.

Question:"What sort of issue is this indicative of & what should I check
next?"

Have a look at all the associated wiring and make sure your grounds are clean and tight. If that checks out it actually may be an alternator voltage regulator issue. Unfortunately they are internal. Good Luck!
