Brand new terrain and the trunk won't open. Am I missing something?

the button is located above the license plate- feel under the GMC emblem on the back hatch, and when you feel the black rubber "bubble", lift and press at the same time and it will release- the car need to be unlocked for it to work.

Press the key fob hard as it will not quickly activate in case you don't want to open it. I found the fob will unlock the car for you and then open the tail gate if you have it locked when using the fob. To use the manuel button, yes it has to be unlocked.

I'm having a problem with my 2020 Terrain, the tailgate doesn't stay locked when the car is locked.
