Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

When looking to buy a gently used minivan for our family how high is too high
for mileage? Were looking for a van that's going to be the family car for a while
but also can't purchase brand new. Thoughts?

How many miles do you drive a year, and how long do you want to own it. That number should be under 200K miles.

How many years on the loan? How many miles a year do you drive. Add that to the miles on the car and like Dolby says make sure that number is well under 200,000.

That is 75 thousand miles over the loan term. Add that to 82k and you have 162,000 miles. This is probably OK IF the car is in good shape now and you take good care of it. I suggest you have a mechanic inspect it before you buy.

A 3 year loan on a used vehicle is what I recommend or your buying too high.
