2013 chevy avalanche

Asked by Kaitlingoodman92 Nov 12, 2016 at 02:38 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 chevy avalanche. When I am driving it
the check engine light will randomly turn on and the
truck completely stops working. I have to wait a
little and then I am able to turn it back on and the
check engine light leaves and it works again. Can
anyone help.

As Js08016 mentioned, having the codes will allow you to see what the issue is. Although the scanner will probably not define the codes, they can be searched for via Google / Yahoo. For my 2009 Avalanche LT-2, the truck didn't turn off, but I lost power. The scans indicated a sensor issue; as it turned out, it was an OS2 sensor that needed to be replaced. Good luck getting your truck back to rights!!
