I skimmed my block and head.reconnected and sealed everything new.I drove 1300km and noticed that the head valve cover is leaking.Is that common in a 2E toyota tazz 2003 model ?

the head gasket needs no sealant- the valve cover gasket may need some if you are sure the bolts holding it down are tight - do not OVERtighten-
