Can you help? how do we test the thermostat? no leaks found. it is running hot.

Are the cooling fans working? Could have damaged the fan circuits. Otherwise, Overheating can be caused by several issues. Low on coolant, leaks (internal or external), clogged radiator, bad thermostat, cooling fans not running, etc.
