Hyundai Elantra oil leak check engine light?

140,000 miles  Recently purchased a couple weeks ago.  Not really driven it
much as it took a minute to have it transferred and registered.  Came out to
drive the car and noticed a lot of oil on the ground.  Checked the oil and there
was barely any in the car.  Also check engine light is on...


l leak coming from?  What is involved in the repair of issue?

If that oil was leaking out all this time, it would be the drain plug. Check to see that it is tight. Check engine light would come on since there was no oil in it.

My oil is leaking on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra in its leaking oil im putting in oil everyday what the problem

My sons Hyundai Elantra leaks all the oil out with in two weeks and oil light NEVER comes on. My friend blew the motor in her 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe for missing one oil change and her light never came on. The warranty didn't cover her motor because the oil changes were not done by Hyundai. I will never buy another Hyundai.
