The Vehicle Information Display shows warning MAINTENANCE-OTHER.  What does this mean?

See page 2-20 in your manual. Maintenance warnings pop up on the dash according to intervals previously set. You must have had a mileage set for 'Maintenance - other'. You can clear it by selecting it and doing a reset. The maintenance interval settings are all user controllable and allow you to remind yourself at specific mileages to perform certain work.
