They're pretty much the exact same car the Li is about 5" longer and 100lbs heavier. The Li does have some more options though not many more. For 4,000 more you might as well go with the Li, considering you'd be spending $80,000 base on the i anyway. More rear leg room and air suspension are about the only differences until you start looking at the options that would make the back more limo like, bucket seats and air cooled seats.

Choosing the correct length really depends on your application, if you’re planning on driving yourself then go for the shorter version, and vise versa. I made the mistake of getting the LWB car that I drive myself. I haven’t once been able to enjoy the amazing luxuries in the back yet while having someone else drive. On the other side of the spectrum, if you are hiring a driver so you can attend to your business while on the move, the Li is by far the correct choice. With “BMW Individual” factory customization, the possibilities are truly endless on what you want for what you need.
