Honda Civic 2009 Won’t Consistently Start

My 2009 Honda Civic has started to not always turn
on.  Dealer changed spark plugs, then adjusted
valves.  Mechanic drove to parking lot, but when I
went to pick it up, it wouldn’t start.  New battery in
Jan after cold weather.  Any ideas?  TY.
