Fuel pump

Asked by Rachel Jul 07, 2018 at 06:47 PM about the 2001 Honda Odyssey

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I think my fuel pump is going out.  My van is taking
a few seconds to start moving when I go to hit the
gas.  Does this sound like the fuel pump,  where is
it located,  is it a fairly simple change? It just
doesn't Hardly move for a few seconds,  then it
starts slowly moving,  then after a couple more
seconds,  it starts going.

Yes it could be the fuel pump but first try cleaning throttle body and add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank. If you use the low grade gas all the time try using the middle grade every other tank full will help keep injectors clean.
