mpg has really dropped off. I am getting a check ecvt light. one long blink and 4 short ones. I am trying to find out what problem this code points to. Any idea?

pretty sure that it is this code: 14- RANGE SWITCH OPEN OR SHORTED that's all i know :> brad

i have subaru justy auto gearbox 1989 and the flash code is 35 can anyone help me please thanks. the car doesnt move
