i replaced the water pump and the timing checks out. it ran good for about an hour. no overheating or jumping or nothing. the next morning i cranked it up and started down the road with it and it stalled and finally died.

is it seized or does it just not start?

had it happen to me as well. most likely a bent valve that got slowly worse once you drove it for that hour. you prolly did the same thing i did by accident and turned the cam sprocket slightly counter clockwise while trying to allign the timing. any reverse turning on that cam and it causes some big issues.
