depends on where u get the motor. also depends on if u have it done in a garage at home or in a shop. We did one on my 98 dakota and it cost me 500 for the motor at a pickin pull type scrap yard, and 150 in gaskets and oil and coolant. took two days to pull the old motor and drop the new one. my husband did the wrenching so i didnt pay for labor. good luck
