1998 dodge dakota no gas mileage

Would there be something else wrong with the truck.  I don't drive petal to the metal.

hi Becky, One very common problem that results in poor gas mileage is a faulty o2 sensor. That would result in extremely poor gas mileage. If that were the gas the engine would, in most cases, run a little rougher than before especially when idling.
