Vega SS

Does anyone know if Chevy made an SS Vega is 1977?  I have a 1977 Vega
wagon with SS on the front fenders. not sure if someone just put those on there
or if it is an actual SS?

A Super Sport wagon? Not likely not to mention the fact that the Vega was a sub compact car with a 4 cylinder engine

1977 was the last year for the Vega. There was a GT but I do not think Chevy ever made a SS.
