so i just put the NEW jasper 350 in a 1998 gmc 1500, and the guages are iffy

The coolent temp guage goes from 160 to 260 vary fast. i have taking the
thermistat out and the gauge still seems to be overheating any ideas.
ALSO the oil pressure guage seems to be all over the place, and remind you its
a brand new engine with a brand new oil pressure sensor

the sensors on you new motor do not match your vehicles intruments /gauges/computer, use the ones off your old motor, or order ones for your vehicle, to be sure use the VIN number to order, there are many different sensors for the 350 used in different applications that are vehicle specific not motor specific

i put a oil pressure guage on it and its reading a constint 70

called jasper and found out the 5.7 350 long block they provide has a hih output oil pump
