95 gmc radio

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Stock radio resets everytime ignition is turned off
and on, half of the time the lights dont work. Trying
to replace it with an aftermarket radio. Have the
installation kit, and wire harness. GMDA from
Walmart, all the wires are connected but the
orange from the stock harness to the aftermarket
radio. All fuses are good, but radio doesn't turn on.
Any idea why?

Is the orange a hot wire? Typically stereos have two hots. One on all the time for the memory and the other is on when the key is on.
