Fuel Pump or Throttle Contol Sensor

Asked by Melissa May 26, 2020 at 02:04 PM about the 2006 Dodge Magnum

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 06 magnum cut off while driving up a hill
and it wouldnt start again. Had to have it
towed to a 'mechanic'. There was an ETC
sensor light (not flashing, just lit) on the dash.
Mechanic says he sprayed starter fluid and it
cranked right up so it must be the fuel pump
but that there are two of them and he doesn't
know which one is faulty; he isnt willing to
even try to work on it. Is there a way to tell
which one without removing them and is it
possible it COULD be the throttle control
sensor?
