Need help to identify stolen component

Asked by lindseyb Nov 18, 2013 at 08:49 PM about the 1988 Dodge Aries

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 1988 Dodge Aries K car which someone stole the battery out of today. There also
appears to be a part stolen off the engine which I'm trying to identify. I've attached photos
highlighting the area.

This is what I believe it should look like: http://twitpic.com/dlrtew

Feedback much appreciated.

I've checked out your picks and you shouldn't be missing anything. Your motor is not the same as the last pic. The part in question in the last pic is a belt gaurd, this motor has a pulley on the back of the cam that is runnin the component below it. Your motor has a cover over the end of the cam therefore all the accessories are ran off of the front of the motor. Add a new battery and you are good to go.
