Average mileage nowadays per year for driving a car

Asked by Stephwhit1 Jul 14, 2018 at 04:54 PM about the 2006 Dodge Caravan

Question type: General

Yeah it's been awhile since I've read up on how many
miles is like the average miles a person drives with
their car per year. They used to be 10,000 miles a
year now I don't know what it is because the car I'm
trying to buy has a mileage of 141000 miles on it it's
a 2006 now I know it's an older car but is that a okay
mileage for that car or is it high or is it low Etc?

I think the rule of thumb is 12,000 miles. The total miles are what really counts. 141,000 is a lot. I would look for a lower mile car.
