jeep 78 304 v-8 hard to start

i have a 78 cj-5 jeep which is hard to start. i have rebuilt the 2 barrel carb. runs great after getting it started

Possibly the fuelpump pressure isn't high enough and the pump has to build it back up. Or the oil pressure sending unit is weak and the engine thinks there's low oil pressure and not allowing the engine to start.
