I have a 1978 ford pinto the problem is hooking up the vacum hoses.i took it to a mechanic he said there was 19 pages on how to hook it up they are all different don't no which one is for mine.the old hoses were marked so my husband is pretty sure those ones are right. But there is one left that has no place to go were it is suppose to go there is another hose connected there.Please HELP CANT SMOG.thank you

The age of your car shouldn't require a smog test. I think anything before 1982 or in that area shouldn't need the smog test as the regulations today are too strict for your car.
