Trying to get transmission out of PARK. Removed the neutral switch. Still locked in park. Anymore suggestions. 1982 Jeep cj Help

Trying to get transmission out of Park. Linkage is working. Arm on tranny will not move. Removed neutral switch.  Still locked in park.  Any more suggestions to help diagnose the problem without pulling transmission.  Will try anything.  Thanks

You may have internal linkage problems in the transmission. It would be necessary to drop the pan to verify. Maybe the parking cog is hung up. Have someone "rock" the vehicle while you are trying to shift out of park.
