Have a 79 CJ7 with a (not original) V8 motor with <50,000 miles. Any idea of a range to sell? Body in good condition. Riveting over any prior rust. Matching tires with near perfect tread (guy who sold to us said about 3000 in tires?).

Can't really rely on blue book values for something this old, and classic car valuation guides are always fickle. Plenty of Jeep fans around, just post it to any number of Jeep-related forums and see what sort of feedback you get. You can also try comparing it to similar models on Hemmings, Hagerty, Classic Auto Trader, or even Ebay to get an idea what they sell for. Older Jeeps generally do fairly well among the collector crowd, IMO.

If you look on Craig's List you will probably find dozens of similar Jeeps for sale. Compare prices.
