My key broke off in my ignition in my 2004 Chrysler
Sebring. Took the ignition out to start with a
screwdriver.the screwdriver will start it but after a
few seconds dies

Try taping the plastic part of broken key to steering column, or keep it somewhere close to ignition as the car's computer has to send it a signal and get the proper response signal to allow the vehicle to run properly.
