2004-2006 Chrysler Pacifica durability and reliability? similar vehicles?

Asked by kaytruehart Aug 30, 2012 at 01:07 PM about the 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I will be commuting back and forth to college next year which may be as much as an hour ride each way. I need a vehicle that will be reliable and dependable with little maintance or issues. i will be buying a used vehicle within 2001-2008, depending on what i find. i know when you buy a used vehicle you run the risk of having problems. i am mainly interested in a smaller suv/sports utility vehicle. i looked into land rovers but found they tend to have alot of major issues, which i dont want. then i found the chrysler pacifica which is a  perfect fit for what i've been looking for, enough room for friends and family plus plenty of back space for our 135 pound german shepard or shopping bags. if anyone knows anything about the chrysler pacifica please let me know, all advice/knowledge is appreciated. and if you knw of any other vehicles that fit my description please list them as well!
Thanks Everyone
(i'm from massachusetts, so i need a vehicle that is good in snow too.)

Since your primary objective is size and dependability, your best bet would be to ask to see the maintenance records on the vehicles that fit your size requirements. A lower mileage vehicle with no major problems that has been regularly maintained "by a professional mechanic" would suit your needs. Also, get a AAA membership just in case.
