What is wrong with my car

Asked by Catlady50 Apr 29, 2020 at 01:00 AM about the 1990 Cadillac Seville

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my husband had recently replaced the alternator and belt on our 1990 Cadillac
Seville. Now when you start the car it squeals and when you start to drive it. He
said it maybe has to do with Catalytic converter cover or something like that. Do
you think that it is correct and is it easy to fix?

1 Answer

Fan belt squealing is not related to the catalytic converter. Check to make sure the belt is installed properly and that the idler wheel and all other accessory pulleys are turning.
