is a 2003 deville good for towing small pontoon boat short fishing.

This would not be my choice for a tow vehicle. What is the weight of the boat?

Unless the boat is under about 1000 lbs, I wouldn't do it. Check the mfr sticker in the door jam. It should show the max weight info.
