Won't stay running even after I jump it plus drains the battery.

On my 1977 ford f100 V8, 351 2barrel carb I have
replaced my alternator, fuel hose , battery But yet
when I start it I have to jump it if it stays running as
soon as I put it into gear it bogs out and than the
battery is dead. It acts like it's not getting any air or
gas and that something is draining the battery
Please Help Me.

There may be vacuum leaks check for broken/loose hoses , carb may have sediments in it , you need a multi meter to see if the alt is charging and if the batt has proper voltage , mice can invade even a daily driver , chew on wires and create problems . It's all pretty basic on a 77

Make sure all the battery cable connections are clean and tight at the battery, starter solenoid, starter, and the alternator. Unless a new battery is defective it won't be dead that fast. Hope that helps! Jim
