79 mgb fuel issues

I bought a 79 mgb and changed about all you can change on a car that sat for 7 years. Today was going to be my finest hour- put gas in and crank it up. I hear the pump working but no fuel from the line to the filter. What can I do besides changing out the lines?

If the pump is in the tank the lines may have a hole/slice at the pump or come off and laying in the tank and it is pumping gas back in the tank instead of to the engine.
