Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Put a new injector in my 89 gmc 2.5 liter
and its like the injector is stuck open and
dumps way to much fuel when I turn the
fuel pump on. What's causing it

The only thing that would cause dumping of fuel would be a bad fuel injector,or incorrect timeing.

Check fuel pressure, the fuel pressure regulator might be bad and creating excessive pressure
